I used to make these jalapeno poppers pre-vegan days and now that I know my partner is a fan of these, I’ve brought them back. These are incredibly easy to make and only take 4 ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Container Plain Vegan Cream Cheese (I recommend Go Veggie or Tofutti)

  • 1 package Wonton Skins

  • 1 jar or can of jalapenos

  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil

Instructions:

  1. Place wonton wrappers flat on a cutting board, plate, or if your counters are clean, your countertop.

  2. Grab a teaspoon of vegan cream cheese and place it in the center of each wonton.

  3. Take about 2-3 jalapeno slices from your jar or can and add them to each wonton along with the cream cheese.

  4. Take the wonton and close it. (For best results wet your fingers with a bit of water, this will make the end stick together to close up the wonton)

  5. Take the wontons and fry them in a medium pan in about 1/3 cup of vegetable oil until brown and crispy. There you have it, it’s really that simple!

Vegan Tacos.png

The first time I hosted people over as a vegan for Super Bowl one of the guests told me they don’t eat vegetables. Odd, I know, but that’s how many Americans eat-meat, cheese, bread, repeat. He didn’t know that everything was vegan and proceeded to eat about 6-8 tacos until I finally told him, “You know there’s no meat in those tacos”. His eyes were pretty wide with disgust at first and then said, “I think I like vegetables now”. I tell you this because these tacos are that damn good and will fool anyone, even the most hardcore meat eater in your group.

These tacos ain’t fancy and thats how I like ‘em…

Instructions:

  1. In a small skillet heat up a dollup of oil to fry your corn tortillas in

    • When you take your tortilla shells out of the skillet from cooking, add a sprinkle of your secret vegan fairy dust (aka: Go Veggie Parmesan cheese) to your hot tortilla shells. Trust me, this is going to make your tacos taste out of this world amazing!

  2. After you’ve fried up all of your tortillas, in a large skillet cook your Gardein Beefless Ground according to package instructions

  3. Add your plant-based meat to each taco shell, top with avocado, pico de gallo, vegan shredded cheese, and of course your choice of hot sauce. Enjoy!

Out of all of the vegan super bowl recipes, this one has to be my favorite! I’ve been obsessed with creating recipes like this one from Aussie Bakery Puff Pastry . I love to bake but I hate making dough. There’s just nothing easy about it and I always look like I’ve had a pillow fight with the flour after I’m done. With Aussie Bakery Puff Pastry all you have to do is thaw out the puff pastry dough for about 10-15 minutes. Then, you can add any ingredients you want for your creation and on 400 degrees in about 10-12 minutes you’ve got yourself a gourmet appetizer or dessert. I highly recommend them and no I’m not getting paid to say that-so you know it’s good!

Vegan+Spinach+Dip.jpg

Now this dish is definitely nostalgic for me! Spinach dip is something my mom used to make all the time for Super Bowl parties growing up. I never thought I could make my mom’s special spinach dip but once I became vegan I knew I had to try and to my surprise I’ve perfected the recipe. Because when you go vegan that is what it is all about, paying homage to those traditional family recipes in a cruelty free way.

Last but certainly not least is what every good Super Bowl party needs, and that’s queso. A few months ago I found the best pre-made vegan queso ever created and that is Credo Queso! I love it because not only does it taste exactly like dairy queso but it’s also oil free and made completely from cashews. The flavor is incredible and highly recommend getting the original spicy flavor for your pretzel bites. Now this is seriously the ultimate super bowl snack!

So the best part about this snack idea is it only takes 2 ingredients! All you’ll need for this is a bucket of pretzel bites and a container of plant based queso! Warm up that queso to your liking and dunk all night!
